Here are some great non-profit organizations that are helping those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Alzheimer’s Orange County
Since 1982, Alzheimer’s Orange County (formerly known as Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County Chapter), has been Orange County’s center for Alzheimer’s resources. We are dedicated to providing quality care and support services to the thousands of residents of Orange County who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia, and also partnering with local researchers to populate clinical trials to help find a cure.
Cure Alzheimer’s Fund
Since its founding, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund has contributed more than $50,000,000 to research, and its funded initiatives have been responsible for several key breakthroughs—including a potential treatment recently selected by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for its elite “Blueprint” drug discovery program, and the ground-breaking “Alzheimer’s in a Dish” study, which promises to greatly accelerate drug testing and was reported by The New York Times as a “giant step forward”.
Alzheimer’s San Diego
Their mission is to provide San Diego families with care and support, while advancing critical local research for a cure. They are innovating and expanding services that truly make a difference in the lives of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease— and the loved ones who care for them. They helped more than 36,000 San Diegans through their free local programs and services.
